I snapped a few pics for the WINCH BUILD and
loaded them to PhotoBucket. Use this link to follow our progress: WINCH
BUILD.

I played around in paint for a little bit and
came up with a new logo. Super simple but I kinda like it lemme know your
thoughts:

I scrapped the 5hp Briggs and Stratton off of my
old Go-Kart at my lake house this weekend and brought to my place in
preparation for a winch build. I have just started coming up with ideas for the
design and I thinking something very simple along the lines of this (click on
pic for the full build):
Feel free to holler at me with ideas and input!

Jeff, Mike, Ben and Denton hit up OWC and The
Projects while the rest of us were kickin' it in the snow. The footy provided
by Canada (Mike) is on the MEDIA page or Check out the
pics by clicking on the teaser shot:

Mike put together the video of the "Baby
Bow's" launch. You can find it on the PROJECTS
page as well as pictures of the first couple of sets. Apparently Jeff put his a$$
through the sheeting on the up ramp during his first set but allegedly it's a
quick fix :) Way to go fatty.

After talking about banners and stencils for the
new rail I realized that I'm not completely down with the ALWake.com logo (at
the top) and I want somebody to design something pimp like Mike's buddy did for
AWT. If you come up with something email it to me por favor.

IT FLOATS!!!! After a day fighting the cold, we
floated the beast!! We still have some small clean up things to finish but
she's basically ready to ride. Jeff has proposed naming her "Baby
Bow" which is kinda gay... so hit up the FORUM and give your suggestions
so we can pick a dope name. Sessions will begin this week.... so anyone who
hasn't pitched a little che$$e into the pot needs to holler at Alex
before their set :) We had a killer turnout and I want to thank everyone who
came to help, we never could have launched this thing without you guys. Full
pics are at the PROJECTS
page, but here's a teaser:

It's pretty basic, but it was free and easy...
check out the new ALWake.com FORUM.

Looks like Sunday is going to be a major workday
on the rail. Anyone available come to Ted's to lend a hand... The water is
coming soon so we've gotta get a move on this thing and float it by Sunday
night. We'll be there around 8:00am for anyone interested in helping. Hammers
and tape measurers are a plus! Pics to be posted after we float the beast.

We gotta give a big shout out to a new site
sponsor, Terry Kirkland and Progression Clothing Company. They've got
some sick gear and are building a great team with the likes of our very own
Alex Graydon. Check out their ads throughout ALWake and the online store at ProgressionCC.com.

We made some good progress on the rail this
weekend with one incline side and the two spines completed. There is still a
bunch of work to be done but our masterful plan is starting to look like it's
gonna work! Alex and Rob will be putting in some time Sunday and possibly
Monday so feel free to give a call or email and help out. Hopefully we can get
this thing floating and ridable in the next 3 weeks. Check out the pics of the
progress HERE.

RAIL BUILD WEEKEND! Calling all riders. Anyone
who wants to regularly shred our new rail project needs to come out Saturday
and Sunday of this weekend (2/07 - 2/08) to lend a hand. We have destroyed Ted's
giant table and are starting a new project with the addition of a 16ft Pontoon
boat we picked up. Check out the design on the Projects page of ALWake.com.
Contact me through AlabamaWake@yahoo.com
or call one of the crew members.

ALWake.com is based on a group of riders from
Lake Martin in Central Alabama. I decided to create this site in order to
chronicle our crew as we travel around shredding local spots, contests, cable
parks, etc. I'll try to update the site as often as possible with new pictures
and videos from our trips as well as updates on rail projects and other
retarded things we get into. This being my first site, some links may not work
or the site may be down from time to time. If you experience any problems
navigating, contact David at AlabamaWake@Yahoo.com.
I'm stoked about what's gonna go down in 2009 and I'm looking forward to
sharing it here.
